Creative Writing Workshops

I love using my creativity, vibrancy, and my knowledge gained from my degrees in Creative Writing to put together fun, memorable workshops. I guide participants through writing exercises for all ages and abilities with the freedom to create any type of writing they like. My Writing Prompt Raffle has been a big hit, and I often run workshops on a particular theme. Halloween, remembrance, Christmas and nature walks have formed the backbone of some incredible sessions.

How it Works

My workshops last for two hours and take place on Zoom.

How you take part is up to you – with the camera on or off, muted or unmuted.

I like questions and comments – in the chat or spoken aloud. It’s always a good time to ask a question.

Feel free to shout out. There’s no need to raise hands here.

I give everyone lots of time to share what they have written, and there is no pressure to do so. Writing can be a personal thing, and that’s fine.

You can take the exercise in any way you like. Some people find that they get stuck, some go off in different directions, and others bring their own writing project along. However you want to work is fine.

I take part in the exercises with you. It means that I also have an experience that I can bring to the workshop. I don’t want to throw out an exercise and watch you get on with it. I’m writing with you.

You can hear me explain my workshops here:

What People Say

“She has given me the confidence to move from thinking about writing to actually writing and being able to share what I wrote with others in the group. In fact, I have just written my first little book and it will soon be up on Kindle. If you let her, Megan will lead you on a very worthwhile writing journey.” (Roger Wilson-Hinds)
